Tattoo Convention

This weekend is the Villain Arts Tattoo Convention in Downtown Denver.
The first one I tattooed in was called the Physical Graffiti Tour in Las Vegas I’d say in 2002-2003. 22 years later I’m still goin and I like what has happened in the convention circuits. At one point I was over them because of the madness.
I remember one year in California the dude next to my booth set up Dj equipment and cranked his music, the booth on the other side cranked theirs. I was overwhelmed and pissed off saying I was done.
I then only did guest spots when I was in other cities and enjoyed the silence. Last year I was asked to do the Villain Arts Convention and agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am happy to attend this weekend. Now they have a few rules to keep anyone from being a nuisance. I must have not been the only one that was over it. 👍🏻
For new and upcoming artists I suggest at least going. Marketing yourself, handing out stickers and cards is important. Watching and learning is an ongoing process that gives you tools to build your brand.
Never stop learning, I personally don’t know everything and I never will. Thanks folks and enjoy your weekend.
Stay tuned for the next blog. Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel.
Glad to see you giving it another shot!
